Sarah Murungi
Sarah Murungi (she/her/hers) is the Director of Movement-Led Approach at Global Fund for Women.
Sarah is an organizational development specialist with over 15 years of experience facilitating capacity strengthening for different organizations, with a focus on women and youth-led. She has a strong passion for women and girls, and has supported womens networks, organizations, and leaders to promote gender equity and address gender-based violence. She has contributed to improved capacity in leadership and governance, human resources management, gender equity and sexual and gender-based violence, advocacy, coalition and movement building, and strategic planning and networking. Sarah has worked with organizations including Irish Aid, UKAID, and has over 10 years of experience in providing leadership and implementing USAID-funded programs in Uganda and across Africa. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a master's degree in Organizational Leadership and Management.
Sarah is based in Uganda.
