Rebecca Hanshaw
Rebecca Hanshaw serves as the UK Director for Global Fund for Women UK. She’s responsible for overseeing the creation, growth, and strategic direction of Global Fund for Women UK so it maximises its potential to become a global champion for equality.
Rebecca has over 15 years’ experience, most notably working for two of the UK’s biggest charity brands – Comic Relief and Save the Children. She has a wealth of experience in creating impactful and influential collaborations with high net-worth individuals, institutions, trusts, and foundations, as well as the private sector. She worked on the design and implementation of Comic Relief’s £22m health system strengthening partnership with GSK, and Save the Children’s Vice Presidents’ Initiative which revitalised the charity’s income and influence capacity.
She’s also an advisor to a family foundation helping them to extend the reach and impact of their giving, and is committed to maximising the potential of grant making organisations to seed, strengthen, and support the catalytic power of grassroots change.
Rebecca holds an M.A in Diplomatic Studies where her thesis focused on conflict resolution in Angola.
