Obed Kabanda
Dr. Obed Kabanda (he/him/his) is the Senior Director of Global Partnerships and Acting Lead, Development at Global Fund for Women.
Obed has 20 years of experience initiating, developing, and managing strategic partnerships at government, foundations, and multilateral levels. He has raised over $100m in total funding and managed partnerships with USAID, UNICEF, UNDEF, PATH, UNFPA, US and Canada Foundations, and European governments.
He holds a Doctor of Organizational Learning and Leadership from Seattle University, a Stanford University Executive Leadership for Nonprofit Managers, a master’s degree of Public Health Leadership, and a Bachelor of Community Leadership and Development. He was the Executive Director at ACODEV, a Ugandan non-profit that impacted up to 1.2 million children, women, and youth in the areas of human rights and reproductive and maternal newborn health programs. He also served as an Interim Fund Chief of Party at the International Fund for Grassroots Organizations.
