Katy Kelly
Katy Kelly (she/her/hers) is a Senior Officer, Finance at the Global Fund for Women.
Katy most recently worked as a Grants and Finance Specialist at the World Resources Institute where she provided financial and operational leadership to international projects focused on independent research demonstrating the impact sustainable development and climate action have on economic growth. Prior to that, Katy worked at the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance supporting the Gender & Protection Team with grantmaking and program management activities for humanitarian projects focused on gender equity, women's empowerment, and social protection and inclusion.
Katy holds a Master of Science in Social Policy & Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a double-major Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics and Communications from the University of Maryland. Her master's thesis focused on the limitations of implementing gender mainstreaming across international development NGOs, using insights from feminist institutionalism to analyze the gendered nature of organizational structures and practices.
In her free time, Katy enjoys going on long runs, hiking trips, and exploring Washington DC's many museums.
