Bill Shelton

Bill Shelton is the CEO of Elites Optimization Services, a NYC-based start-up that just finished its Series A round of funding. The company’s mission is to improve the lives of athletes. Its clients include the Group1001 family of insurance companies, the

National Football League (NFL), USA Track and Field (USATF) and the Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE).

EOS’s newest project addresses gender equity: Parity is an Instagram influencer platform exclusively for professional female athletes. Since only a dismal 0.4% of the global sports sponsorship market goes to women, Parity addresses a societal and commercial need. Prior to EOS, Bill was a managing director at Wall Street’s Deutsche Bank (DB), leading several sales businesses within equity derivatives. He was a visionary in creating products and developing innovative distribution channels. He had a similar role as a managing director at Goldman Sachs and was also at J.P. Morgan on two different occasions.

His love of business started over 25 years ago. At Darden School of Business, Bill wrote an award-winning plan that leveraged prominent networks in Black America to reduce the sales cycle for large urban school software sales. These organizations, like the Boule, the African American fraternal organizations, the Links, and Jack and Jill, are not regularly known outside of Black America and represented a tremendous commercial opportunity. The plan became Bingwa Software. He’s a long time NYC resident and resides in Harlem.
